Overview
Executive Director of Finance at Newcastle University, Richard Dale, has joined the non-executive team at Northumberland College as a Co-opted Member of the Regional Resources & Capital Projects Committee. With a career spanning over 30 years, Richard has held a number of senior financial positions with UK and overseas companies, including British Telecommunications. In his current role at Newcastle University, Richard is responsible for the overall financial management of the £540 million University and the leadership of the University’s 120 finance staff and over 200 non-finance colleagues across the business development, legal, research support and catering departments. Richard is also a member of Newcastle Science City partnership board, a member of INTO London and Newcastle joint venture boards, Vice Chair of British Universities Finance Directors Group and past chair of Higher Education Procurement Association.
