Recruiting a digital marketing apprentice or placing one of your existing team on an apprenticeship can help you transform the way you market and promote your business.
Digital marketing can benefit businesses of all sizes as it can give them access to a large audience at an affordable price. Unlike print or television advertising, companies can really personalise and tailor their content to a specific target market.
A digital marketing specialist allows organisations to:
The Life Science Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne recruited a digital marketing apprentice in 2022, with Digital Marketing Manager Nathan Wadwell – who is an advocate for apprenticeships – delighted with his progress so far.
He said: “Nathan has advanced in his role and is now able to work independently on a range of projects, from content creation to market research planning. He supports the whole marketing and communications team assisting with photoshoots, press events and more.
“In addition to this, he also supports the wider organisation during busy periods, answering customer queries and covering for colleagues when required.”
Education Partnership North East – a dynamic partnership between Sunderland College, Northumberland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form – are one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the North-East.
The group works with over 1,000 employers from Berwick-upon-Tweed to the Tees Valley across major business sectors and can help businesses – large and small – recruit apprentices, upskill their current staff through an apprenticeship, and provide impartial advice on grants and the Apprenticeship Levy.
Peter Robertson, Head of Business Development, said: “Employers are really seeing the value of having a digital marketing specialist in their business. These apprenticeships are particularly popular with small and medium sized organisations may not have the time, skills, knowledge, or budget to properly promote their business.
“The feedback we have received from employers who have taken on digital marketing apprentices is that they can see the impact and benefits through new and repeat business.”
